Grand Revision 1985 Typical of the several modest brick houses built by local builder A.J. Svorkmoe in the district around the turn of the century, this house is well preserved, and appears to have been based on "House Design #1061" in Fred T. Hodgson's mail order house pattern catalog of the period. The entrance hood is non-contri- buting. (Compare with 622 S. Grand) . The original owner, Wells S. Davidson, assistant cashier of the Commercial National I Bank, by 1907 had become the "driving force" behind the Gallatin State Bank, and built a new, very impressive, architect-designed house at 604 S. Willson Ave. A year later, that bank erected the present brick building at 2 W. Main St. (see 2 W. Main St. ) . Bibliography Application for Sewer Connection, W.S. Davidson, Sept. 20, 1902.
