This detached one-story single-family residence has a greek cross plan with a recessed entrance in the front corner, supported by a turned wood post , and a small porch added to the rear of the structure. The one-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with 1/1 double-hung and fixed windows with color glass panes. The frame construction is finished in shingles in the gable ends and 4 clapboard siding. It rests ona concrete foundation. The cross-gabled roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features returning eaves and a central brick chimney. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings incluce a garage of modern construction finished in wood siding. �+STORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. This property was built by John Baver_ley, a Local builder of many residences. t Matt Cohen i Revi8ion 1985 The best preserved of a group of three very similar houses , this simple building, according to the 1984 survey form, was built by 'local carpenter John Baverly, and was first owned by Erma E. Ogden. From about 1903 to 1910, P.C. Waite, manager of the E.M. Gardner Co. , was living here. Bibliography City Directories: 1904-5, p. 173; 1910-11 , p. 168; 1912-13, p. 164 .
