HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE-: Justify how lne persons, important events,and/or historical patlerns associaled with the structure/site
and surrounding area lend the property significance,
This modest house is significant predominantly for its fine state of preservation.
It is an excellent example of a modest, turn of the century house type found in
several areas of Bozeman , which was probably derived from one of the numerous pattern
books available at the time. This house, along with 904 S. Grand across the street,
which is similar, is one of the earliest structures in the Butte Addition. The two
houses appear quite isolated, on the 1912 Sanborn map.
INTEGRITY: Assess the degree to which the structure/site,and surrounding area accurately convey the historical associations of the
property.
INFORMATION VALUE: Explain how the extant structure/site may demonstrate or yield information about its historic use or construc-
tion.
