I HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons, important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structurelsite and surrounding area lend the property significance. Matt C-ohen 212 S. Third Revision 1985 This simple house may have been owned as a rental property by Squire C. Kenyon, who built 204 S. Third nearby, and whose name appears on the 1904 sewer permit for this site. The house shows lingering traits of the Greek Revival style, such as its side-hall plan configuration, and peaked window lintel boards. In 1927 John E. McCart.hy, a driver for the Kenyon-Noble Lumber Co. , was listed as the resident. Alterations , most notably the removal of the porch posts and the addition of asbestos shingle sheathing, reduces the significance of the house to only marginal .
