The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front entrance with fixed, casement and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in 12" masonite siding and rests on a cut stone with brick under the porch foundation. The gable roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and has boxed eaves. Two additions have been made to the house. The axis of the main roof is perpendicular to the street with a parallel side gable to the rear. The outbuildings include a combination barn, garage and shed . Third Revision 1985 One of the several houses of marginal significance due to alteration, this i house was probably built by and for John Eschenbacher, a contractor and proprietor of the Eschenbacher & Co. Planing Mill located at 322 S. Church. By 1927, John S. Barker, an architect, was living here. Alterations , most notably the asphalt shingle sheathing and enclosed porch, ! appear to be reversible.
