Third Revision 1985 Of marginal architectural significance due to alterations to the porch, projecting bay fenestration and asbestos siding, this house is nevertheless significant ' for its large size, and as the home of a former Bozeman mayor, Edmund Burke. The original owner was probably William L. Holloway, of the law firm Holloway & Hoffman, Holloway is listed here in the 1900 city directory. From about i 1904, when Holloway moved to Helena, through the 1940's the house was occupied by Edmund Burke, a chemistry professor at Montana State College and Bozeman mayor of 1927, and by 1935, Ed Burke, Jr. , a lawyer and county attorney.
