PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one-and-one-half double-family residence with elements of the bungalow style has a rectangular plan with a proch recessed beneath gable porch columns of brick. The railing is enclosed. The one-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center glass-paned front entrance with double-hung windows in a 1/1 sash arrangement. The frame construction is finished in clapboard and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with green asbestos shingles and features recessed gables. There is one offset brick chimney on the wouth and west sides of the house. The axis of the roof is parallet to the street. Outbuildings include a garage. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Matt Cohen 401 S. Third Revision 1985 Typical of the numerous Bungalows in Bozeman designed by local builders, this house is unusual for its relative simplicity considering it was designed by an architect, Fred F. Willson. The house was built for Anthony F. McCune, secretary/ treasurer of the D.H. Budd Co. , which was responsible for installing the plumbing in the majority of Bozeman' s early 20th century houses. By 1927, Harvey E. Stevens was living here.
