PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached single-story single-family residence with elements of the mission
style has a square plan with a spanish style front porch. The one-bay facade
is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center glass-paned front entrance with double-
hung windows with 4/2 and 1/1 sash arrangement, and a stained glass front window.
The frame construction is finished in stucco and rests on a stucco foundation.
The cross-gable roof is covered with red asbestos shingles and features on central
brick exterior chimney. There are no major alterations. Outbuildings include
a garage and a shed.

This simple vernacular house, covered with stucco in the early 20th century,
may be the one mentioned in the Republican Courier of 1906, which was sold by
Mr. & Mrs. A.J. Welrath to Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bull in that year. Bull was a rancher,
while Walrath was secretary of the H.S. Buell Land Co.
A house appears on this site on the 1898 bird' s eye view of the city.
