PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials. Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square
plan with a hipped roof front porch which has been enclosed. The two-bay
facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with 1/1
double-hung windows. The frame construction is finshed in asphalt siding
and rests on a cut stone foundation. The gable-hipped roof is covered with
grey-green asphalt shingles and has an exterior chimney and dormers. The
axis of the main roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include
a garage.

A typical example of a vernacular, Queen Anne style pattern book house in Bozeman,
this house is of only marginal significance due to the asbestos shingle siding
and enclosed porch. A very similar, better preserved house is 719 S. 9th Ave.
Though George Cooper is listed as the owner on the sewer permit, he is not listed
in any city directories.
