Matt Cohen 805 S. Third Revision 1985 One of the most outstanding examples of historic residential architecture in Bozeman, this very ornate Tudor Revival style house was built for Dr. William A. Tudor, a long-time Bozeman dentist. Tudor may have intentionally requested this particular architectural style as a pun on his name. Tudor came to Bozeman in 1888, and soon thereafter built a fine brick, Queen 1 Anne style house, still standing at 613 S. Willson. About 15 years later, he built this impressive house, with its extensive half-timbering motif covering the second floor, stickwork mutulated cornice, and Tudor arched porch. Tudor remained here until 1912 when he moved to Los Angeles. The next resident here was George Y. Patten, a lawyer who remained here at least as late as 1927.
