Revision 1985
This large, vernacular Queen Anne style house is notable for its fine state
of preservation and high degree of detailing, considering the relative simplicity
of its design. It is one of several large houses of the very early part of
this century built in this area of the district. The house was built for Marshall
P. Davidson, a dentist with the firm "Davidson & Galbraith". The Republican
Courier noted in October, 1907 that: "Dr. and Mrs. M.P. Davidson have moved
to their new residence at 809 S. Third Ave".
