This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square
plan with an enclosed front entry with a gable roof. Brick work has been
done on the corners of the house with rock underneath. The two-bay facade
is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front entrance with fixed
and 9/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in stucco
and has shingles in the gable ends. It rests on a concrete foundation.
The gable roof is covered with green-grey asphalt shingles and features over=
hanging eaves with exposed rafters. There is a central brick chimney.
The axis of the roof is parallel to the street. Outbuildings include a
two-bay garage.

Revision 1985
This modest Bungalow style house displays several unusual features, among them
being the battered cobblestone porch posts, and is very well preserved, with
the exception of the north facade. The house has probably been re-oriented,
the original primary entrance being through the gable front, recessed porch,
rather than the present northern vestibule. The large picture window in the
north wall is a serious detraction.
William E. Joliffe, stenographer for the district court, was the resident here
in 1916 and 1917, and may have been the original owner.
