Matt Cohen 921 S. Third
Revision 1985
An excellent example of the Bungalow style, this house was built for Benjamin
B. Law, judge of the 9th judicial district court, by Elmer L. Bartholomew, Bozeman's
leading early 20th century builder. Bartholomew also built 915 S. Third, next
door. The boldness of proportion and detailing, particularly the break in the
porch roof, is typical of Bartholomew's style.
Law remained in the house only a short time, for by 1921, Robert S. Bailey was
living here.

This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Progressive
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
