PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square
plan with a recessed front porch which has two corner columns and a wrought-
iron railing. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off
center front entrance with fixed and 1/1 , 8/1 and 6/1 double-hung windows.
A bay window on tite right side of the house has a shed roof. The frame
construction is finished in clapboard and shingles and rests on a concrete
foundation. The gable roof is covered with light brown asphalt shingles
and features dormers and boxed eaves. There are two brick chimneys.

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
l associated with this property.

This unusual house, more typical in design of the 1930's than its actual date
of construction of about 1912, this house is well preserved, and was built for
Fred W. McKay, a bookkeeper at the Commercial National Bank. McKay previously
lived for a short time at 612 S. Grand Ave.
