PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has an irregular
plan with a newer attached garage to the north , and a hipped front porch with
Roman Doric columns and a gable overdoor above the front steps. The facade is
asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance of ornate oak with beveled
glass , and shuttered fixed leaded-glass and 1/1 double-hung windows . The frame
construction is finished in clapboard and shingles in the gable ends. The
structure rests on a stone foundation covered with concrete. The gable roof is
covered with green asphalt shingles and features boxed eaves, and a metal stove-
pipe. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site
and surrounding area lend the property significance.
This property was built by Andrew J. Svorkmore, builder and contractor of
many Bozeman residences for Andrew D. Rose.
Significance: This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a
potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect
of the Civic Phase of Bozeman's historic/architectural development.

property.
The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival
of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
