This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a T-shaped plan
with an awning over the front stoop. �he asymmetrical facade consists of an
offset front entrance with 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is
finished in shingles and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is
covered with wood shakes and features dormers and a central brick chimney.
The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuilfdings include a
garage.

This house, the oldest in the block, was a farmhouse when built about ten blocks
from the business district. It is a one and one-half story frame building , "T"-shape:
in plan. The steep gable roof runs north and south with a gable to the west.

When it was built about 1895, this was another isolated farmhouse on the outskii
of Bozeman. Junius Stiff, a farmer, and his wifle, Mattie, lived here.
