Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has an irregular plan with a diagonal gable-roofed porch in the interior joint of the L-shaped front facade. The windows are 9/1 double-hung and fixed windows. The frame construction is finished in shingles and brick coursing and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with cedar shingles and has an exterior chimney on the east end. Outbuildings include a garage. This property is significant because it is associated with a person important to Bozeman history, Fred F. Willson. , Son of General Lester S. Willson, an early Bozeman pioneer, Willson was born in 1877 in Bozeman. He attended Montana State College for two years and graduated from Columbia University in architecture in 1902. He studied for two years abroad and upon his return, Willson practiced with C. S. Haire in Helena and Butte. In his long practice from 1910-1956, he designed many public , commercial and residential buildings. Matt Cohen 509 W. Cleveland Revision 1985 This unique house, which incorporates elements of the Tudor Revival style, was designed by Architect Fred F. Willson for Harry T.J. Healy, manager of the Sweet Co. coal distributing company. The Healy house is one of the several architect - designed houses lining W. Cleveland Street, of which all but one were designed by Willson.
