Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Matt Cohen 515 W. Clevelend Revision 1985 Of marginal architectural significance, this simple example of the Tudor Revival style was built for Barak J. Van Winkle, manager of the J.C. Penney Co. on Main Street. A man named Prigge apparently had some involvement in the construction. That name appears on several sewer and water permits for other houses in the City. The house is typical of this street due to its large size, and architectural style. The picture window in the north wall is probably not original.
