It is the only contributing house on this side of the block. Supporting the overhanging , shingled main block gable , which forms the porch roof , are two square Tuscan columns at the ends , echoed by similar pilasters on the wall behind them. A clapboard porch apron spans the front , but is open at the sides . The door , off- center to the right , has small -square and narrow vertical lights , and is flanked by two original ; large rectangular windows . Eave side windows are irregular , and include one paired Ixl sash window in the north side . There is a small gable window . Eave ornament consists of exposed rafter tails and truss brackets . The house has a concrete foundation and a brick ridge chimney . On the south eave side is a non-original , c . 1925 , 1-bay , false fronted , novelty sided garage with an original , overhead sliding door. Significance : Very similar to 215 S . 5th Ave . directly across the street , this simple Bungalow may be the work of the same builder . The original owner may have been Mrs . M . R . Lillard .
