PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structureisite,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached two-and-one-half story double-family residence has a greek cross plan with a wrap-around front porch resting on wood columns. The three-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with fixed and 1/1 double-hung and casement windows. There is some very nice leaded glass in the windows on the main floor and the second-floor upper panes are diamond- patterned beveled galss with wood mullions. The frame construction is finished in 4" beveled siding with shingles in the gable ends and rests on a rubble foundation covered with concrete. The gable roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and features a two-story bay projection on the south side. There is a brick chimney in the rear. A newer addition is now on the front of what used to be half of the old wrap-around porch, and there is an enclosed back porch. Outbuildings include a garage. The main axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street with intersecting bays behind. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development. INTEGRITY: Assess the degree to which the structure/site,and surrounding area accurately convey the historical associations of the property. The historic integrity of this property has been retained due to the survival of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
