This detached two-and=one-half story double-family residence has a greek cross
plan with a wrap-around front porch resting on wood columns. The three-bay
facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with fixed
and 1/1 double-hung and casement windows. There is some very nice leaded glass
in the windows on the main floor and the second-floor upper panes are diamond-
patterned beveled galss with wood mullions. The frame construction is
finished in 4" beveled siding with shingles in the gable ends and rests on
a rubble foundation covered with concrete. The gable roof is covered with
green asphalt shingles and features a two-story bay projection on the south side.
There is a brick chimney in the rear. A newer addition is now on the front
of what used to be half of the old wrap-around porch, and there is an enclosed
back porch. Outbuildings include a garage. The main axis of the roof is
perpendicular to the street with intersecting bays behind.

This large , 2-story , Colonial Revival style house stands prominently
on a corner lot. The porch was unfortunately enclosed in July of
this year , the former exterior walls within it being covered with
flagstone . The date of construction probably corresponds to the
date of the sewer permit for this site , 1906 . Mrs . Inez M . and
Ethel I . Morse were listed as the residents here in 1927 , renting
i furnished rooms in the house .
