PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached two-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with wide steps leading to a gable roof supported by wood posts. The two-bay facade is symmetrical and consists of a central front entrance with sidelights , and 6/6 double-hung windows. The front entry porch in enclosed and decorated with latticework. The frame construction is finished in light 6" beveled siding with corner trim and rests on a concrete foundation covered with stucco. The gambrel roof is sectioned to appear like two shed-roofed wall dormers above the original roofline and is covered with cedar shingles. The axis of the roof is parallel to the street and features two stone chimneys , one interior and one exterior. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Progressive Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
