1985 revision
Matt Cohen , survey(
One of the very few brick structures in the district , this very
unusual house is similar in form to several of the simple Queen
Anne style houses built in the district in the first decade of
this century . While the house displays features of that style ,
such as irregular massing and an ornately shingled gable , it also
displays elements of the Colonial Revival style , such as simple
cornice modillions , and , most significant , corner quoins formed
of projecting brickwork . The porch , while it retains its
pedimented hop roof with modillion cornice , has unfortunately
lost its original base , railing and posts .
The resident here in 1927 was Mrs . Harriet A. Littlefield , who
rented " furnished rooms "
