This detached one-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with a
recessed front porch across the front with solid railing and side steps.
The facade is symmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with 6/1 and
8/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in beveled siding
and shingles and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof has overhanging
eaves with exposed rafters and knee braces and a rear brick chimney. The axis
of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include a garage of
similar materials.

Research in the sources consulted in this survev has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.
This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Progressive
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.

Built by carpenter W . H . Cline in 1917 , along with the rest of this
side of the block , this simple yet very distinctive Bungalow style
house is identical to 320 S . 5th adjacent to it . Another pair
of identical Bungalows of a different design built by Cline ,
308 and 314 S . 5th , stands next to this pair . Also nearly identical
to both this house and 320 S 5th is 514 S . 5th .
This house was occupied in 1927 by William C . Cook , an assistant
professor at Montana State College , and his wife , Muriel A.
