PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with a recessed front porch with solid railing across the front and side steps. The one-bay facade is symmetrical and consists of a central entrance with 4/1 and 3/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in beveled siding of varying widths and features brick corner trim and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features overhanging eaves and exposed rafters with knee braces. There is a rear brick chimney. The. axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Cline in 1917 , along with the rest of this side of the block , this simple yet very distinctive Bungalow style house is identical to 316 S . 5th adjacent to it . Another pair of identical Bungalows of a different design built by Cline , 308 and 314 S . 5th , stands next to this pair . Also nearly identical to both this house and 316 S . 5th is 514 S . 5th . Jack Manning , listed as a warehouseman at the Lovelace Grocery Co . ( see 612 E . Main , E . Main St . Historic District) , and his wife Leta are listed as living here in 1927 .
