Cohen Bor r0onl.nna 321 S . 5th Ave . 1985 revision Matt Cohen , surveyor A fine example of the Bungalow style and situated on a prominent corner lot , the Ketterer House makes a significant architectural contribution to the district . It was most likely built in 1914 for ( and possibly by) Augustus A. Ketterer , son of Emil Ketter , a prominent wagon maker and blacksmith whose brick house at 35 N . Grand ( c . 1900 ) is a major historic landmark in Bozeman today . Augustus Ketterer is listed in the 1904-5 city directory as a woodworker employed by Emil Ketterer , and residing at 19 N . Grand - probably the brick house noted above . From the 1910- 11 through the 1927 directories , and perhaps later , Augustus is listed at this address and in the same occupation , though in 1927 he is listed as a farmer . A house appears on this site on the 1912 Sanborn Map , though the small south ell and recessed porch do not appear , as they do on the 1927 Sanborn Map - probably an indication that the present house replaced a previous one on this site .
