This small , stuccoed Bungalow is typical of the last houses of
the style built in the 1930 ' s , before new house types took
precedence .
Two names are associated with the house from the sewer permit of
1937 , William Ginn and John Karp . According to the 1940 city
directory , Karp , an " inspector" , and his wife Theresa were
the residents in that year . The directory of 1935-6 indicates
no houses in the 600 or 700 block of S . 5th Ave .
