PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached one-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan
with a gable set over the open front porch. The one-bay facade is
symmetrical and consists of a central glass-paned front entrance
flanked by double-hung windows of a 6/1 sash arrangement. The frame
construction is finished in clapboard and rests on a concrete foundation.
The gable roof is covered with cedar shingles and features boxed eaves.
The axis of the roof is parallel to the street.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.

This simple pattern book house which is based on the Classic
Cottage house type , is typical of the simple economical residences
that replaced the Bungalow in the 1930 ' s . This well preserved
example is similar to the nearby 609 and 616 S . 5th Ave .
Cyril E . Coulston , an accountant , is listed on the sewer permit
of 1935 for this site, and in the city directory for this address .
According to the 1935-6 directory , no buildings stood in the 600
or 700 block of S . 5th in 1935 .
