Cohen 303 S. 6th 1985 revision Matt Cohen, surveyor Non-contributing due to alteration, this vernacular shingle style house was probably originally very similar to 306 S. 7th Ave. , which stands on the lot directly behind this one. The latter house was clearly modeled after "House Design #1092" in Hodgson' s turn of the century house catalog. This house was probably derived from the same pattern, and built by the same carpenter. Tauner (Tin) B. Switzer may have been the original occupant, and perhaps owner as well . Listed as a rancher residing at 802 W. Babcock in the 1904- 5 city directory, Switzer' s name appears on the 1908 sewer permit for this address, and in the 1910-11 and 1916-17 directories for this address. The house was listed as vacant in 1927. Biblio ra h Application for Sewer Connection, January 17, 1908, T.B.
