PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a rectangular
plan with an enclosed recessed front porch. There is a small shed-roofed back
porch and a rectangular bay window on the south side. The main facade is
asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front entrance with fixed and 4/1
double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in 2" bevel siding and
has shingles on the gable ends. The structure sits on a concrete foundation.
The gable roof is covered wtih brown asphalt shignles and features a new shed
dormer and overhanging eaves with exposed rafters and knee braces. There is a
metal chimney which replaced the original brick chimney. The axis of the roof
is perpendicular to the street. Outbuildings include a garage.

significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.
This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
