Matt Cohen, surveyor
This small , vernacular Bungalow was apparently built by Laben W. Truitt, the year
after completing his own house adjacent to it, 321 S. 6th Ave. , probably for
rental . Truitt was treasurer of the Gallatin Lumber Co.
In 1927 an "instructor" at Montana State College, Paschal C. Gaines , and his
wide Blanche H. Gaines, resided here.
The house is well preserved, and similar to some of the houses built by
carp enter W.H. Cline, such as 314 and 316 S. 5th Ave.
