Lamb ' I l 1 Department of Sanitation nv PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials. Discuss significant architectural features. This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square plan with an attached, shed-roofed open carpot and a recessed corner porch with arches. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical anliconsists of an off-center front entrance with fixed and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame construction is finished in beveled clapboard and rests on a foundation covered with red decorative brick. The hipped roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and features two dormers , one gabled, and one hipped, and overhanging eaves with exposed rafters. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Elements of the design such as the overall form, dormer and Mayan arched porch openings, are commonly found in early 20th century house pa-tt-nrn books. William W. Lamb, variously listed in city directories as a rancher, and janitor at the Gallatin County Courthouse, is listed as the owner on the 1913 sewer permit.
