Cohen 314 S . 7th Ave . 1985 revision Matt Cohen , surveyor A very significant example of residential design of the 1930 ' s in Bozeman , this house displays a typical gable front Bungalow form, along with unusual features such as battered , stuccoed walls , and a stuccoed porch supported by heavy corner piers . One of the more elaborate residences built during the Depression , the building is attributed to local builder Eugene F . Crail . The adjacent 310 S . . 7th Ave . is also attributed to Crail . The house was listed as vacant in 1933 , the home of Crail himself in 1935 , and the home of Harrison Hollis in 1940 . Crail may have built the house speculatively around 1930 , and afterward had difficulty selling it . Bibliography Application for Sewer Connection , December 4 , 1930 , Eugene F .
