Matt Cohen , surveyor
Probably built and temporarily lived in by local builder Ora E .
Long , this simple Bungalow is a typical , well preserved example
of the style in Bozeman . Two other comparable houses on this
block , 515 and 519 S . 7th Ave . , are also attributed to Long .
Long is listed as living here in the 1916- 17 City directory
( note : the address listed in that directory is 516 S 7th ,
which did not exist at that time) , and signed the sewer and
water permits of the same year .
By 1927 , James A. Kiefer , an assistant professor at Montana
State College , and his wife Olive Kiefer , were living here .
