PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-story single-family residence has a square plan with an
open shallow gable-roofed front porch. The one-bay facade is asymmetrical
and consists of an offset front entrance with fixed and 6/1 and 2/2 double-
hung windows, and a projecting cantilevered squared bay with a shed roof
and triple windows. The frame construction is finished in bevel siding
above the window sill height and shingles below the sills. The house
rests on a concrete foundation. The shallow gable roof is covered with
green asphalt shingles and features overhanging eaves. There is a brick
chimney and a metal stovepipe. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to
the street.

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.
This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Progressive
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.

One of the exceptional examples of the Bungalow style in the
district due to originality of design and refinement of pro-
portions and detailing , this house is an especially important
element in this southern section of the district , which is
dominated by much less architecturally significant structures .
By 1927 , John E . Norton , a teacher , was living here .
