Discuss significant architectural features This detached one-and-one-half story multi-family residerir_e has a rectangular plan with a recessed front porch across the front with a solid railing. The facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center front entrance with fixed and 8/1 and 4/1 double-hugn windows with a shed style awning over a side bay windows. The frame construction is finished in bevel siding and rests on a con( rete foundation. The gable roof is covered with green asphalt shingles and feautires a shed roofed dormer on the front with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters. There is an interior brick chimney and the axis of the r ,of is parallel to the street. A deck as been added in back and the rear of the structure has been remodeled with new windows. Outbuildings include a garage. Wherling , a former Bozeman Police Chief , this house is a fine example of a common eaves front , Bungalow house type . Located prominently on a corner lot , diagonally opposite the northwestern corner of Cooper Park , the large house makes a strong corner boundary for this end of the district . Wherling ' s other house in the district , 715 W . Koch , is located just two lots to the east ( see statement of significance ) . In 1927 , Lincoln J .
