PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials. Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square plan
with a recessed front porch under a flared gable roof. A garage is attached to
the side back. The facade is asymmetrical and consists of a central front
entrance with oval glass and fixed and 1/1 double-hung windows. The frame
construction is finished in concrete or cast stone, and rests on a concrete
foundation make to look like stone. The gable roof is covered with grey
asphalt shingles and features a gable dormer and brick chimney. The axis of the
roof is parallel to the street.

Despite the altered dormer window , which is a major detraction ,
this Bungalow is one of the most significant residences in the
district because of the use of molded concrete blocks ( pressed
stone ) for the entire structure . Also significant is the striking
design of the recessed porch , which has two piers topped by
shaped wooden capitals that support a flared roof extension . The
house occupies a choice location facing Cooper Park .
In 1927 Chester A. Roberts , of the Machemer & Roberts contracting
company , was the resident here .
