PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. his detached one-story -single-family residence has been converted to a commercial structure and has a rectangular plan with an enclosed gabled front porch , as well as additions to the rear and side. The facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with casement windows which have replaced the windows in the original structure. The frame construction is finished in 21-," beveled siding and rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with cedar shingles and has knee braces with exposed rafters. There is a central brick chimney. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the street. Main 1985 revision Matt Cohen , surveyor An example of 1930 ' s infill in a predominantly turn of the century streetscape , this small Bungalow was probably built in 1934 , replacing a larger house that may have dated to the 19th century . The original owner was probably David T . Powell , a farmer , though by 1942 he was living on W . Babcock Street . Powell may never have occupied the house . In 1935 it was vacant .
