This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has been converted

under a shed roof. The facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-center
front entrance with plate glass windows enclosing the front porch and 1/1
double-hung windows . The frame construction is finished in asbestos siding
with shingles in the gable ends. The cross-axial gable roof is covered with

Matt Cohen , surveyor
A fine example of a typical pattern book house , though the
architectural significance has been compromised by the enc-
losure of the porch and the installation of asbestos shingle
sheathing , this house was probably built in 1910 for Frank
A. Waldorf , first vice-president of the Owen house Hardware
Co . ( see 36 E . Main ) .
In 1910 , Waldorf was listed as residing across the street from
this row of houses , while in 1912 and 1916 , he was listed as
living at 620 and 622 W . Main respectively - earlier addresses
of this same house . In 1927 the house was vacant .
