1985 revision
Matt Cohen , surveyor
Available suggests , quite curiously , that this modest ,
Colonial Revival style pattern book house was built and
occupied by Carlisle S . Kenyon , at various times the Secretary
and Treasurer of the Kenyon-Noble Lumber Co . and vice-president
of the Gallatin Trust and Savings Bank . Kenyon had previously
lived in a far more impressive brick residence , 204 S . 3rd Ave .
In addition to its association with Kenyon , this house is
significant as the termination of this historic W . Main St .
streetscape , west of which begins a high speed commercial strip .
