Babcock 1985 revision Matt Cohen , surveyor The broad , gambrel roofed , gable front facade of this building is an important element in the streetscape , despite the re- placement of the original porch ( note : the porch in the attached photograph , which does not appear to be original , has since been replaced ) . The building , which presently has a triple I entrance serving three apartments , was probably originally a ! single family house . Mrs . Elizabeth Bowers signed the water permit of 1921 - a likely date of construction - though she is not listed in any of the city directories . In 1927 , Theodore J . Sanders , a salesman at the Robinson Cash Grocery at 104 W . Main St . and his wife Haysel C . L . Sanders , a music teacher , were the resi - dents here . The small , single family house that stands behind this one ( 5061-, W . Babcock St . ) was , according to undocumented evidence 1 on a discarded survey form , built in 1941 .
