1985 revision
Matt Cohen , surveyo
A quite elaborate and well preserved example of the Queen
Anne style in Bozeman , this house is of especially high
significance in this district , which has very few 19th
century and turn of the century houses of comparable size
and quality .
The early history of the house remains obscure . In 1927
John H . Aakjer , a rancher , was living here . In 1916 , he
was living four miles west of the city .
On the . 1898 Bird ' s Eye View , the house is the only building
on the block , and has two small outbuildings behind it .
