PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance, noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features. This one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a square plan with a recessed front porch under the hipped roof. There is latticework under the porch, and the porch features a decorative gable and dentils under the eaves. The two-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an off-set front entrance with 1/1 double-hung and fixed front windows. The frame construction is finished in 2" bevel siding with shingles (decorative) in the gable ends. The structure rests on a cut stone foundation. The hipped roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features a corbeled brick chimney, and a metal stovepipe. The intersecting gable has decorative rafter ends with a corner bracket. Outbuildings include an attached one-car garage. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.
