425 W . Olive
1985 revision
Matt Cohen , surveyor
Similar to 405 W . Olive , this typical , tri -gabled , vernacular
house is associated with the general city expansion following
the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1883 . It is a
significant element in this quite early streetscape in the
district . The stucco , which covers the walls and porch , was
probably added in the early 20th century , and is a significant
feature of this house , which retains high integrity.
