PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,
noting additions,alterations,and changes in materials.Discuss significant architectural features.
This detached two-story single-family residence has a square plan with a recessed
front porch under a slightly projected returning eave from the main roofline.
The one-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset front entrance with
1/1 double hung and leaded glass (upper pane) fixed windows. The frame construction
is finished in 3" beveled siding with decorative shingles in the gambrel ends.
The structure rests on a cut stone foundation. The gambrel roof is covered with
cedar shingles and features two dormers, a large wall dormer over the bay window
on the east side and a wall dormer on the west side. There are returning eaves on
two levels of the gambrel roofline. The axis of the roof is perpendicular to the
street. Outbuildings include a barn with a gambrel roof.

This structure qualifies as a contributing element within a potential historic
district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic
Phase of Bozeman 's historidarchitectural development.
