PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached two-story single-family residence has a square plan with, a side
recessed front porch under the main gambrel roof. There is also a two-story
octagonal projection to the side of the front porch. There is a one-story
bay window with an enclosed beveled balcony at the second floor which has a
recessed entry flanked by double-hung windows and a curved wood protrusion
over this entry, on the west side of the house. Windows are 1/1 casement and
stained glass fixed windows with cornices over the exterior windows.
The frame construction is finished in beveled 2" siding and shingles on the
dormers. The structure sits on a cut stone foundation. The gambrel roof is
covered with cedar shingles and features two dormers , one over the front entry
porch with a hipped roof and rounded rafter ends , and another hipped-roofed
dormer over the rear entry shed-roofed porch. There are eave returns and
curved rafter ends on the entire house, as well as metal ornaments on the roof
line. There have been no alterations to the outside of the house, which is
in excellent condition. The axis of the roof is parallel to the street.
Outbuildings include a metal shed.

district due to its association with the residential aspect of the Civic
Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.

of original design and materials and continuity of use, setting and location.
