This detached one-story single-family residence has a rectangular plan with a new attached garage. The one-bay facade is asymmetrical and consists of an offset glass-paned front entrance with new shuttered fixed windows. Concrete steps with iron railing leads to the front door. The front yard is enclosed with a white wooden fence. The frame construction is finished in new hardboard siding and new board and batten in the gable ends. It rests on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is covered with grey asphalt shingles and features flared overhanging eaves and exposed rafters with knee braces. There are two inter metal stovepipes. Outbuildings include an old garage with novelty siding. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the stn.ctve site and surrounding area lend the property significance. Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any significant historical information concerning persons or events associated with this property. Though a building appears on this site on the 1912 Sanborn Map , this one may be a later structure , built to house a grocery run by James Fitzgerald Jr . , which is listed in the 1927 city directory . James Fitzgerald Jr. lived at 25 E . Story , while James Fitzgerald Sr. lived next door , at 404 W . Curtiss . Martin V .
