Koch 1985 revision Matt Cohen , surveyor A fine example of an early 20th century , vernacular pattern book house , this house is the easternmost in a very cohesive streetscape of five diverse pattern book houses ( 407 , 411 , 417 , 421 , W . Koch are the others ) . There appear to be only two substantial alterations , the oriel window in the east wall , and the small shed wall dormer on front . The design for this house was probably derived from a specific , similar pattern in Fred T . Hodgson ' s mail order house pattern catalog , Practical Bungalows and Cottages for _Town and Country . In 1927 , William H . Everson was living here . Bibliography Hodgson Sanborn Maps , 1904 ( house not shown ) ; 1912 , ( house shown ) City directory , 1927 , p . 174 .
