Matt Cohen , surveyor
Possibly built by local carpenter William C . Smith , whose
name appears to have been written in later on the 1919
Water permit for the site , this Cape is typical of the
modest pattern book house designs widely available in the
mid- 1920 ' s through the 1930 ' s . The house is well preserved ,
though covered by asbestos shingle sheathing . Like the
rest of this side of the block , this house may have been
built as part of a speculative development of R . A. Putzier .
