Similar in general to "House Design No . 1095" in
Hodgson ' s mail order house pattern catalog ( see appendix) ,
this simple house is one of only two in the district that
display elements of the shingle style . It is also
significant as the central element in a cohesive row of
five pattern book houses , the others being 401 , 407 , 417 and 421
W . Koch .
In 1927 , Glenn C . Simpkins , division supervisor of the
Monarch Lumber Co . , was living here .
